Extra Lightroom Courses

For those making the transition from Picasa to Lightroom I have one space on the Saturday 25th June Course and one space on the Wednesday 29th June Lightroom Course. Lightroom is the best option for anyone whose main interest is Landscape Photography as it’s possible to retain much more detail in the clouds from a RAW file. You will require a laptop but we do keep a couple of spares.

Extra Bird and Landscape Course Sunday 17th July 2016

The last Bird and Landscape Photography Course sold out so quickly that I’ve added an extra course for Sunday 17th July.

This course takes place at Rutland Water and one of the goals is to get a picture of a bird in flight. So far no-one has failed to achieve this aim.

Though mainly about using the best techniques to get images of birds this course also gives you some great hints and tips on how to compose a great landscape photograph.

You require at least a 200mm lens along with a tripod and remote release. I do keep a couple of spare tripods and cable remotes are available on ebay for about £5

Extra Lightroom Courses to help people make the transition to Lightroom.

Google has also decided to drop the FREE Picasa photo editing program. This new development has changed the way I’m looking at my editing courses. For those that mainly shoot in JPG, and are comfortable using Picasa, then feeling free to continue as normal. If you don’t already have Picasa then I suggest you download it while you still can from here

No More Picasa - Could this be your time to switch to Lightroom?

If you are an established photographer then I recommending making the switch to using the RAW file format and Lightroom for your editing.  To help you in this transition I’ll be adding some extra midweek HDR & RAW Courses plus some extra Lightroom Courses incorporating the Nix Collection plug-ins.

This edit shows what can be achieved by editing in Lightroom.

Please contact me if you would like a midweek Lightroom Course

Big Cat Course on Sunday 23rd October 2016

This course will show you how to take great images of a variety of wild animals including cheetahs, foxes, maned wolfs and tigers. The day will take place at Hamerton Zoo, near Huntingdon so you can either travel there directly, if it's easier for you or meet at my house and car share. You will need to let me know which option you choose when booking.

We hope you have enjoyed this newsletter.
