Public Transport -Market Harborough to Smeeton Westerby
Smeeton Westerby is situated 10 miles south of Leicester just off the A6 at Kibworth. The village is 5 miles from the picturesque market town of Market Harborough, which also has the nearest railway station.
There are Arriva X3 and Stagecoach X7 buses from buses from Market Harborough to Kibworth and we are a 15 minute walk from Kibworth.
There is a limited Number 44 service from Market Harborough to Smeeton Westerby. We are only a 15 minute walk from Kibworth but we may be able to arrange a pick up from Kibworth, if required.

Leicester to Kibworth
Travellers from Leicester can catch Arriva X3 or Stagecoach X7 buses from Leicester Bus Station, or possibly outside the Railway Station, to Kibworth. There is also a train from Leicester to Kibworth on the London line.

Travelling by Car
If traveling by car aim for Kibworth which is on the A6 ten miles south of Leicester and 5 miles north of Market Harborough.
Follow signs for Kibworth Beauchamp and head for the centre of the village. If coming from Leicester you will be turning right off the A6. At the roundabout with the cherry tree turn right then first left onto the Smeeton Road. This road is signposted Smeeton Westerby (1 mile ) and Saddington. Head for Smeeton Westerby and go past the church on the right.
Do not turn left down Gumley Road or Pit Hill, which a lot of people do. Westerby Lane is the very last road on the left just before you leave the village.
From the M1 South or London
If coming from the M1 South you will come off at Junction 20, Lutterworth, and follow signs for Market Harborough on the A4303 to North Kilworth. Turn left on the B5414 towards the A5199 Leicester Road and turn left towards Leicester.
Turn right at the Saddington crossroads then turn right into Saddington village. Turn left in Saddington towards Smeeton Westerby. After one mile turn right into Westerby Lane then followed the road round to the right. We are opposite Westerby Farm on the right hands side.
From the M1 Junction 21 or M69
Follow Ring Road South signs until you reach the A6 roundabout at Oadby ( next to Leicester Racecourse) Turn right uphill , past Asda on the left, and continue onto the Great Glen Bypass and on to Kibworth.Turn right at the Coach and Horses and follow signs for Kibworth Beauchamp and head for the centre of the village. Foxton Locks. This is one of Leicestershire premier tourist attractions and a fantastic place for photography.There is plenty to see and do for all the family with several eateries, boat trips and a very interesting museum.

Leicestershire is a beautiful part of England with lots of tourist attractions and scenery. If you would like to make a weekend of your visit there are a few friendly Bed Breakfasts nearby with several hotels in nearby Market Harborough and lots more in Leicester city 10 minutes away.
If your family would like to do something different while you attend the photography course the Leicester has a very modern lively shopping centre with several cinemas, lots of shops and restaurants and also the world famous Space Centre. There are several hotels in Mkt Harborough available through Trip Advisor

The Premier Inn, just outside Market Harbrough, is less than 5 miles from the Digital Photography Courses venue and within easy reach of the M1 and A14. It is a drive into Mkt Harborough but there is a pub with reasonable food onsite.
It’s also very close to the picturesque market town of Mkt Harborough and the lovely village of Foxton and Foxton Locks.
There is also the Langton Inn bar and restaurant attached plus services.
Low cost room only accommodation is available if booked early enough and they do also offer meal deals.
There is also a petrol station and McDonalds in the same complex.
