Photograph Cheetahs, Foxes, Wolves & Tigers
The park opens for normal day visitors from 10.30am but we all need to be there for 9.30am for your photography training until 11am. After a safety briefing we’ll start the Big Cat and Foxes photographic sessions. There will then be a short break for lunch and some free time to visit the rest of the zoo to see some of the other animals. The racoons and meerkats are well worth a visit.
There will be a chance to review your images over lunch and correct any techniques you haven’t mastered before we start again at 2pm with the maned wolfs and tigers until 3.30pm. There will be a chance to review your images and receive feedback before we finish at 4.30pm. If you don’t need to review your images there are lots of other animals in the park to photograph.
Course Outline
The day will follow the normal format for our courses and start off with a quick recap of the basics including the best settings to use to photograph animals through wire mesh, and where to stand for the best shots. I’ll also give you some tips for photographing animals through glass indoors.
We will be working with some very experienced animal keepers from the zoo to ensure we get up close and personal pictures of the different wildlife.
We will then do a final review with constructive feedback and help you choose your best pictures. This is followed by a short photo-editing demonstration before finishing about 4.30pm.
